Project Manager

My client is looking for a Project Manager to drive project governance and working with stakeholders, to ensure the agreed project outputs are delivered to enable benefits to be realised.

Role: Project Manager

Location: Wiltshire / Remote – Hybrid role with 2 days per month onsite (Flexible)

Duration: 6 months initially (strong potential of extension)

Rate: GBP450 – GBP500+ per day

Start: ASAP

Objectives:

• Delivery – Create and lead the project to deliver the agreed outcomes
• Day to day management and leadership of the project and the project team
• Design the project structure appropriate to stage
• Select and apply appropriate delivery methodologies
• Coordinate development of the Business Case
• Schedule / manage resources to deliver the project
• Ensure benefits are identified, understood, measured, tracked and owned
• Identify key stakeholders and develop effective relationships
• Identify and monitor project risks and issues. Develop mitigating actions and escalate as appropriate
• Provide key reports and support effective governance and decision making
• Support or set appropriate project assurance
• Ensure effective Change Management processes are in place to agree and document changes to deliverables
• Build Project Plan and apply appropriate project principles to deliver stated objectives

Skills & Experience

• Project Management Qualification such as Agile Foundation, PRINCE2 Foundation, APM Project Management
• APM Registered Project Professional (RPP) / Charted Project Professional (ChPP) – Desirable
• Experience working as a member of a large or medium complexity project team, or as a specialist or workstream lead for a small, low complexity project
• Good understanding of Project methodologies and lifecycles
• Experience of successfully engaging with and influence a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Capture stakeholder needs and expectations into an agreed plan/schedule of work
