Deputy Head of Facilities, Birmingham, GBP230 – GBP250 p/d (Monday – Friday)

Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Deputy Head of Facilities to join a large Public Sector organisation in Birmingham. This assignment can start immediately.
The Dep HOF is accountable to the Head of Facilities and will provide strong and effective leadership to the operational delivery across Trust Soft FM Services. Staff reporting to the Deputy Head of Facilities will include Patient Catering, Retail, Portering, Switchboard Housekeeping/ Domestic Services, Linen, Waste Management and Soft FM contracts
Essential skills and experience required:
- Possess a significant amount of statutory compliance knowledge and strategic leadership whilst maintaining a close focus on the financial budget and specialist facilities requirements
- Management of technically complex Soft FM Facilities Services. Contribute to the effective management of cGBP9.2m, variance analysis and scenario based forward planning. Lead and manage a small internal team along with external contractors
- As a member of the wider senior leadership team, you will participate in Trust wide planning and contribute to the strategic direction of the Trust and System.
- Leading by example, creating an engaged workforce across all Soft FM Facilities Services by creating an environment of trust, inspiring communication at all levels championing brilliant care and brilliant improvement.
- Support the Head of Facilities to undertake detailed analysis of service provision and develop strategies and plans to improve service provision in a cost effective and efficient manner
- Ensure compliance with all legislation affecting the services managed. Undertake H&S, risk assessments and safety audits, monitoring and reviewing practices
- Provide expert advice to clinical and corporate services on a range of service issues to ensure service continuity and business resilience (Emergency, Preparedness, Resilience, Response – EPRR)
