Accountancy Recruit is partnering a client in Huddersfield to recruit a Management Accountant. The role will support 3 businesses within the group and would suit a Management Accountant or Cost Accountant as there will be a focus on costings. The main responsibilities will include:
To be successful in this role the Management Accountant will have the following experience:
The salary advertised with this role is a guideline and the salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
- Monitoring unit cost variance.
- Implementing cost standards for materials and labour.
- Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports.
- Reviewing and updating costs for each business area.
- Monthly analysis to highlight and explain any variances.
- Monitor budgets and spend against budget.
- Preparation of management accounts.
- Forecasting.
- Identifying any cost saving initiatives and efficiencies in production.
- Generate and implement cost improvement ideas.
- Reconciliation of control accounts.
- Stock control.
- Project work on job costing.
To be successful in this role the Management Accountant will have the following experience:
- Experience within manufacturing preferred.
- Strong P&L and costing experience.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Able to work on own initiative.
- Good understanding of Sage 50
