Role Profile

Our client is a well–established and expanding automotive manufacturer based in West Midlands. They are currently looking to appoint a Operations Director to oversee the day–to–day running of a busy multi site Manufacturing operation.

The key purpose of the role will be to oversee all Production & Distribution aspects within the plant are completed within a safe, compliant manner.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Full end to end responsibility of the Manufacturing plants
• Lead by example and set the standards in terms of safety, improve the safety culture and delivery safety performance in line with the improvement plan.
• Communicate the vision and strategy to all direct reports and the wider business
• Make recommendations to the Group business on strategic or operational improvements of margin or growth, new markets and enabling technology
• Maintain company quality standards using LEAN tools and continuous improvement

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Desirable experience within the automotive industry
• Exposure to high–volume manufacturing operations
• Desire to engage with all staff members across the shop floor
• Excellent communication and influencing ability
