I'm supporting a business who are embarking on an exciting, transformational journey. Transitioning from an on–prem to cloud based infrastructure, they have recently migrated a chunk of their infrastructure to Azure. They are a well–funded professional services business, with a talented Infrastructure, Service and InfoSec team that needs a strong hands on leader. The future of infrastructure is cloud first, but a key application requires on–prem servers. You will therefore be comfortable leading a team of talented engineers (Azure and VMware skill set) and also retain a strong understanding of technology. The role requires an individual to manage a function of 10 heads across infrastructure, service and infosec. A strong focus around improving service to the business is required alongside an aptitude to manage and maintain defensive security. You'll come from a technical background and have solid skills across Azure, VMWare, Office 365 and related security tools. Experience of working in a small to mid–tier professionals services/regulated business would be desirable you'll work alongside a talented head of engineering and work closely with exco to help technology underpin the growth of the business. The business has sites across Merseyside and Greater Manchester and will require an on–site presence for the majority of the working week.
