Robert Walters are excited to be exclusively representing a hugely successful global PLC who, due to growth, are seeking an ambitious Finance Business Partner to drive continued success across the group. This is an opportunity to join a well–established, market leading organisation with revenues in excess of 1 billion during an exciting period of growth.

This newly created role will see you reporting to a high calibre Finance Director, spending the majority of your time immersed with the operational team and adding value to board level meetings.

The role:

• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders within finance and operations across the division.
• Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance providing analysis and delivering insight linking financials to business strategy.
• Support and work with the FD to maintain and control the current reporting platform and processes.
• Preparation of cash flow forecasts, quarterly reviews, consolidation packs and annual budgets.
• Project work around profit maximisation.
• Ensure reporting is delivered with quality in a timely manner, accurately and ensure a framework of controls and reconciliations exists to underpin the whole data set.
• Attend VCR meetings / Contract reviews, Audit VCRs; ensure operating units properly report contract performance.
• Support and work with Regional FD to deliver planning and strategy.
• Support the Central Finance Reporting team as required with management accounts, cash reporting, statutory accounts, forecasts and group reporting.
• Support the FD with improvements to all reporting across the division.
• Manage and develop the reporting inputs, engaging with the local Finance Teams to deliver a first–class end–to–end finance service.
• Oversee production of monthly MAPS, overhead cost reports, profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and management accounts.
• Understand and report upon variances.
• Work with Regional FD to drive best practise on all reporting aspects on a consistent basis.

The successful individual:

• Fully Qualified accountant with proven experience within a commercial finance role.
• The ability to produce high quality management information.
• Computer literate with strong systems skills – Oracle and Power BI is a preference, but not essential.
• Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
• Confidence to influence and challenge strategy.
• Capable of liaising with, supporting and influencing operational / commercial management.
• Technically capable and commercially aware.
• Ability to work in the new agile, remote working environment.
• Flexible to travel as necessary.
• Construction experience would be advantageous.

This role requires a self–motivated and focused individual who will quickly establish themselves as a key senior member of the commercial finance team. You will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and support teams across finance coupled with building positive relationships with teams and leaders across the business. Please note this role requires infrequent travel.
