We are looking for a senior manager covering the Safeguarding Governance Team (a strategic Safeguarding Team) and the Dols Team. This is not a frontline operational post.
The post leads:
– strategic activity to ensure Newham Council's statutory Safeguarding Adults responsibilities and duties are met, working closely with our Adult Social Care operational team and key partners. It also supports the work of the Newham Safeguarding Adult's Board.
– the development and implementation of the multi–agency safeguarding adults, MCA and DoLS training strategy and programme for staff in our Directorate, organisations and providers in the borough, including learning from Safeguarding Adults Reviews, Leder, DHRs, Children's Safeguarding Reviews, learning reviews and case file audits.
– safeguarding adult governance arrangements – practice and policy development, data performance improvements and submissions.
