ROLE – Head of Engineering SALARY – GBP60,000– GBP76,000 per annum, dependent on experienceTYPE – PermanentLOCATION – Hampshire My client is a manufacturer within the Aerospace industry. They are looking for a Head of Engineering to join their team in Hampshire on a permanent basis.The Head of Engineering will ideally have the following attributes:
- Experienced in a similar Department Head / Design Manager / Engineering Manager role
- Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering / Electro–Mechanical – Chartership would be desirable but not essential
- Experience in Aerospace would be beneficial too
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Being responsible for the design and development of bespoke systems and prototypes
- Working directly under the CEO
- Leading and developing the design team
- Liaising with Heads of other departments to work collaboratively and ensure requirements are met
- Managing the delivery of engineering tasks / communicating with vendors and partners
- Always driving continuous improvement in the department
- Directly managing reports, setting KPI's and carrying out Reviews and training as required
- Supporting the other platform design teams as necessary through collaboration with other colleagues
- Ensuring all work meets the relevant standards
- Ensuring compliance with their ISO standards
