Business Development Manager, Newcastle–upon–Tyne

Basic salary circa GBP60,000 per annum DOE + excellent commission and benefits package

We re delighted to be partnering with one of the UK s most exciting engineering organisations. Our client designs, manufactures and supplies cutting edge technology globally and currently require an experienced Business Development Manager to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the companywide growth and sales strategy. Our client is looking for an ambitious, commercially aware self–starter who has a demonstrable track record of generating, negotiating, and closing sales deals in an engineering environment.

Duties

  • Successfully develop and manage prospects with a view to exceeding sales targets
  • Proactively build a robust pipeline of sales prospects
  • Create and implement sales strategy to support revenue growth
  • Confidently approach, present and negotiate with C–suite level prospects
  • Accurately record and update all activities in the CRM
  • Collaborate with multiple key stakeholders within an organization to articulate the business value of our company's products and services

Criteria

  • Experience in a senior sales position within an engineering environment
  • Knowledge of the marine sector (highly desirable)
  • Demonstrable experience creating and implementing robust sales strategy
  • Skilled in negotiation
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines with conflicting priorities
  • Enthusiastic, self–starter with a strong desire to exceed sales targets
