Source Solutions are proud to be working with a leading organisation and platinum award investor in people, within electrical infrastructure, a pioneer within reduced carbon solutions and innovator within net zero strategy on a large scale, to identify highly experienced Programme Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of an important portfolio of capital investment projects, focused around construction projects within energy and infrastructure.
The programme manager will take responsibility for the delivery of a portfolio of projects totalling circa 15million per annum and will operate a n indirect budget of circa 1.5 million. As a Senior Manager within delivery, the successful candidate will manage 10 direct reports and manage the delivery of projects utilising a multi–discipline team of 100, including a direct workforce comprising consultants, contractors and equipment suppliers.
This is a broad role with a high degree of responsibility, included in which is the accountability for the development and implementation of Project and or Programme Execution Plans through the leadership and direction of the multi–discipline resources and will ensure, among others, the execution of:
- Obligations with respect to CDM compliance and safe systems of work
- The defined project quality plan including the Inspection and Test Plan and appropriate design approvals
- Both internal and external stakeholder engagement and management
- The packaging and procurement strategy including best design and commercial practice within the delivery model.
- Consents and third party approval
Candidates requirements:
- Formal qualification in Project / programme Management
- A degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering with substantial experience in delivery of electricity distribution or other relevant energy / infrastructure programmes
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with demonstrable experience in the Project Management and successful delivery of multiple infrastructure construction projects
- Experience in management of NEC contracts
- Expertise in the application of planning and scheduling construction programmes, along with awareness of key cost drivers and cost reduction measures within industry
- Significant risk management experience with in–depth understanding of risk management techniques
- Excellent understanding of construction management best practice and CDM regs
