Eamont Holdings Limited are searching for a Group Finance Director. This owner managed business consists of three companies and are based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.
- The largest of the three businesses is a medical technology company with a turnover of £7 million and employs 40+ people.
- With statutory contracts with the NHS and Local Authorities the business is continuing to see growth following the addition of new revenue streams and product lines.
- In 2009 EHL the group were offered the opportunity to acquire the electronic manufacturing business that supplied them with their hardware. They have now grown this to a turnover of £4million, employing 32 people.
- You will report into the owner and Managing Director, who himself is a CIMA qualified accountant, and values the commercial input from his Finance Director.
- As the Group Finance Director, your role will be to have complete ownership of the group finance function with the support of 3 finance staff, and as things stand, will see you have a hands-on role in the production of the groups month end numbers and financial reporting.
- One of your first duties, will be to review the current structure and delegation of duties to understand how best to shape the finance team, allowing it to add further value to the business.
- You will also begin the process of putting together a 3 to 5 year business plan that will give the group a clear direction an understanding of their growth opportunities.
- Your current team consists of 3 transactional finance staff, meaning you will be extremely hand-on in the production of the month and management accounts, the posting of journals on the P&L.
- There is currently no budgeting and forecasting process in place, however this means that you will have the opportunity to have an instant impact on the financial performance of the group.
- Finally, the owner is looking for a Finance Director who has the ability to identify opportunities where the business can grow and put in place a strategy that will facilitate this growth.
- Your role will also include various company secretary responsibilities and you will also be part of the senior leadership team.
- To be successful in your application for this Group Finance Director position you will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant who has already operated as a number 1 or a number 2 in the business.
- You ideally will have worked in an owner managed business and understand the dynamics of working within a SMEs organisation.
- We are looking for a Finance Director who is willing to have a hands on approach and with all elements of the business.
- This role will require you to be a senior presence within the office in Aylesbury meaning the ability to work from the office is essential.
- As part of your role is looking at the overall strategy of the business, having experience of Financial planning under strategic finance is needed.
