HEAD OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES 37.5 hours per week SCP42–45 GBP48,593 – GBP51,759 per annum Qualification Bar SCP43 Essential Car User Allowance OFFICE BASE AT CARITAS HOUSE M4, WITH THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK FLEXIBLY With a principal focus on the leadership and management of our commissioned social work and counselling services to schools, the main purpose of the post is to review, develop and grow our schools social work services to increase support to children and families across the Diocese of Salford. You will scope and explore the possibility of expanding services to meet emerging demands and engage with statutory or other providers to build collaboration. Acting as the deputy Safeguarding Lead you will be responsible for the management of a team of diverse practitioners to ensure comprehensive support for children and families. You will contribute to organisational strategic planning, collaborate with the senior leadership team and ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are met. This is a brilliant opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and families affected by poverty, trauma, disadvantage and exclusion. You will have outstanding leadership skills, be able to provide clear direction and model positive behaviours. You will work collaboratively and form relationships with key stakeholders, particularly representatives from the 13 local authority areas of the diocese. Extensive safeguarding knowledge and suitable substantial experience is essential.
