Project Director Large Scale Civils/Groundworks and Rail contractor/

The opportunity has arisen to join a growing contractor as a Project Director.

To support their numerous large scale projects in White City, directing civils valued at GBP30m–GBP40m, I am recruiting for a proven Project Director, for a permanent / staff position, with experience within civils, rail, groundworks etc. My client has a very strong pipeline of work and great prospects, you will busy from day one!

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of the assigned projects throughout their life cycle and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget, while minimising risks and maximising margins on a variety of projects across the UK.

Your role will involve, but not be limited to:

• Work with the engineering team to conduct site investigation and assess the technical feasibility of developing a specific solar PV project
• Draft the scope of work and estimate the respective project budget
• Manage contract negotiations, change orders, and other agreements with subcontractors and vendors, and oversee all subcontractor's work in all phases
• Develop and maintain project timeline, identify critical path and key milestones for project's success
• Communicate with utilities and authority having jurisdictions regarding interconnection, permitting, and other regulatory compliance issues
• Identify the sources of likely problems and proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks, and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact
• Possess strong organisational and time management skills

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

You will be expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or other related fields.
• 20 years experience in the below:
• Civils
• Rail Interface
• Groundworks
• FRC
• Bridge
• Road Works
• Bunker
• Drainage / Attenuation
• Piling
• Ducting and Utilities

Salary Package: of up to GBP110,000 per annum (depending on experience),

Location: London – White City
