Within this role, the new Legal Counsel will provide legal support in relation to the global supplier relationships and manufacturing operations; helping to maintain effective relationships with our suppliers and manage any associated legal risk.

Description
Within this role, the new Legal Counsel will provide legal support in relation to the global supplier relationships and manufacturing operations; helping to maintain effective relationships with our suppliers and manage any associated legal risk.
Key responsibilities for the legal counsel will include:
- Providing expert advice on commercial and contractual issues across the business, helping the business navigate complex legal issues.
- Drafting, negotiating and advising on the terms of complex commercial contracts with suppliers.
- Assisting the business to resolve contract disputes with suppliers.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business including Procurement and Legal teams.
- Working as part of a cross-functional team to provide commercial and contractual legal support on important and high-profile, global projects within the business.
- Helping to deliver relevant legal training programmes.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in relevant areas of law and contribute to the Legal team's sharing of this knowledge and know-how.
- Helping to maintain template documents and creating appropriate guidance notes.
Key requirements for the legal counsel will include:
- Qualified solicitor with 1-5 year PQE from either a commercial or corporate background.
- Commercial awareness and enthusiasm for actively contributing to business discussions.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work autonomously, with limited supervision, in an exciting, fast-paced, and constantly evolving environment
- Confidence and gravitas to challenge decisions and actions when required.
- Ability to apply your legal knowledge in a practical and pragmatic way.
