Head of Finance based Minworth. £80000 plus car allowance and bonus.

Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working exclusively with a manufacturing business with a European parent to recruit their UK Head of Finance. The company have a T/O of circa £100 million in the UK and are part of a wider successful company.

Your new role
As Head of Finance you will lead a team of 4, report to the UK Managing Director and oversee the day to day control of the UK plant. Key duties include:

• Leadership and development of the Finance team

(Accounting including Tax/Management Accounting) in the plant and
additionally local indirect purchasing

• Contact for all financial topics within the plant
• Responsibility for monthly Closing and Management-Reporting (inc.

Analysis)

• Responsible for the plants' budget planning, MTP and Forecast
• Responsibility for all legal topics of the company including reporting

towards Companies House

• Responsibility for all tax related topics (Corporation Tax, VAT,

customs duties and excise, Intrastat and EC Sales reporting)

• Support of project controlling in acquisition and development phase

(profitability calculations)

• Responsibility for project controlling of running production projects
• Support and challenge Managing Director
• Search and implementation/initiation of potential improvements in the company (cost/revenue optimization)
• Maintain internal control safeguards and risk management

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for an experienced hands on Qualified Financial Controller or Head of Finance who has experience running a busy team. Knowledge of manufacturing and SAP is an advantage but other related sectors are considered. This is a hands on role and a broad mix of technical and commercial accounting.

What you'll get in return
The company offer 1 to 2 days work from home. The hours are 8 am to 4 pm with a 3 pm Friday finish. The basic salary is between £70000-80000 plus £9000 car allowance and potential bonus. This is a superb opportunity to become a lead number one role but with the security of a group structure.
