Manufacturing and sistribution Group based in Bordon, Hampshire, has a requirement for an experienced Finance Manager to undertake the day to day management of the division s Finance and HR functions.
What will the Finance Manager role involve?
- Reporting to the Managing Director, the key responsibilities of the Finance Manager position will include;
- Preparation of all monthly and annual financial reporting, including all statutory returns including VAT and PAYE;
- Maintain full control of the general ledger by ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are produced on a monthly basis with any discrepancies investigated and rectified;
- Co–ordinate the production of all management accounts, revenue forecasts, cash flows, stock levels, debtors and profit forecasts (in line with the financial reporting timelines; I.E. never late) on a monthly, quarterly & yearly basis as is appropriate, taking care to maintain full dialogue with the MD both pre & post publication;
- Management of the annual budgeting process in conjunction with the senior management team;
- Production of ad hoc KPI information as and required to provide detailed analysis on company performance and support the future development of the business.
Suitable candidate for the Finance Manager position:
- Applicants for the position will either hold a full accountancy qualification or be qualified by experience, with previous experience of working within a divisional, SME environment and comfortable reporting to a larger Group entity on a timely and accurate basis;
- The successful candidate will be comfortable being hands and undertaking all aspects of finance including posting of invoices and ledger management in addition to working at a more senior, strategic level to support the business.
Additional benefits and information for the Finance Manager opportunity:
- The role will be offered on a temporary basis for 3 months and there is the opportunity for the right candidate to undertake the role on a permanent contract;
- The role is office based 5 days a week. Working hours are 8.15–5.15 Monday to Thursday and 8.30–12.30 on Friday.
