Our client is a well known gardening gifts and tools company established for over 200 years.

As part of their growth and expansion, they are working with us here at Better People Ltd to source an experienced Marketing professional to join them in this new Head of Marketing role, where all round marketing experience is required but above all experience of sourcing new products, working on New Product Development and using your creativity and experience to add to this range of luxury consumer products.

Managing a team of 3, the Head of Marketing role is responsible for the following:

• development and implementation of Marketing strategy and annual Brand/Product plans
• leading the development and hands on delivery of all new products –NPD
• Brand development/communication and driving awareness
• supporting the Sales Team by developing best–in–class Trade Marketing programmes to achieve executional excellence for both Sales and Marketing initiatives
• Bringing new products to their retail customers

With a key focus of this role being in development and hands on delivery of all new products and achieving budgeted NPD KPI's, we are looking for someone with background and experience in sourcing new products and bringing them to market, ideally within FMCG corporate background.

This person will be creative and innovative, able to source new products, see what fits the brand and see how to implement them into the sales pipeline.

It may suit someone who is currently looking for a step up from a Senior Product Manager type position

Ideal candidates will have

• Track record of successful Brand and Product Management
• Strategic NPD planning and delivery
• NPD Ideas concepts generation process and techniques
• Experience in Trade Marketing Strategy and annual Brand Planning and implementation
• Good leadership skills and experience managing a team.
• Good budgetary control skills with great commercial acumen.
• Will be a creative thinker with high energy and a proactive outlook.
