Are you currently working in a senior tax position looking for your next step? We are recruiting for a Tax Director to join a progressive, rapidly expanding accountancy practice, to work within the dynamic corporate tax team.

The role will be broad and varied, often client facing, and will involve communication and negotiation both internally and externally.

As Tax Director, reporting to the senior business management team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and delivering on revenue and profit targets
  • Delivery of complex tax advisory assignments
  • Running a client portfolio
  • Input on complicated client tax returns; personal and business
  • Manage and service clients within own portfolio, or delegate where appropriate to the client manager
  • Be available to provide technical tax advice to the firm's Partners Team and/or clients
  • Oversee initiatives, processes and projects whilst continuing to oversee supervision, training and development of the team
  • Liaise and communicate with other departments, clients and directors to generate business leads
  • Maintain the highest level of technical competence and apply in response to client needs
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives and provide content
  • Identify cross selling opportunities through networking, attending client functions and seminars
  • Actively involved in the firm's 'Partners Strategy' to move the business forward

This practice is looking for a highly experienced, motivated and dynamic person to fill this role and to be an integral part of the future expansion plans.

To be a serious contender for this position, you will satisfy the following criteria:

  • Be CTA / ACA qualified with 10+ years of tax experience within a practice environment
  • Demonstrate experience delivering solutions on complex tax matters (particularly on corporate transactions, property matters, high net worth individuals and wealth management)
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to identify problems and provide solutions
  • Show flexibility in considering different points of view and options available
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player, with a motivated and positive relationship building attitude
  • Self–motivated with the capability to prioritise work
  • Experience of business development and winning new work
