A new and exciting position has arisen for a commercial and operational diligent Chief Operating Officer to join an award winning FMCB business in North London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, commercially driven COO to join them at a pivotal point with the opportunity to step up as MD within the next 2 years.

The 50M+ turnover company has tremendous potential and operates across multiple channels in E–Commerce, Retail, Wholesale, and International Trade. The London–based business is well established, has a strong track record of robust growth, and has been recognised in the industry for outstanding performances with multiple awards.

The business is looking to expand, accelerate growth and scale up to capture the mainstream.

The COO with a broad strategic, commercial, and operational remit, including:

  • Execute the growth strategy
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
  • Reviewing key weekly metrics and holding progress meetings
  • Oversee the day–to–day operations of the business.
  • Identifying opportunities and potentials for improvement in an entrepreneurial manner
  • Building, leading, and motivating your own energetic and results–oriented team
  • Evaluate the performance of senior team members and report to the CEO.
  • Management – Build a team of qualified professionals for scaling up
  • Help prioritise and execute project–based work
  • Managing relationships with key stakeholders and business partners (internal and external).
  • This newly created role will ultimately have a transformational impact on the business.

Attributes of a COO:

  • Have extensive experience with FMCG wholesale and e–commerce
  • A proven history of management, leadership, and getting the best out of people from diverse backgrounds
  • Independent thinker with keen attention to detail and the ability to articulate their vision
  • Firm but fair

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus scheme

  • Leadership: 5 years (required)
  • Management: 5 years (required)

  • E–commerce: 1 year (required)
  • Foods/ Drinks Distribution: 1 year (required)
