The Role

Our fantastic Finance team are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner responsible for partnering with our Operations function. You ll be responsible for supporting the financial performance of our operations business, providing quality analysis and challenge to optimise our returns.

What you ll be doing

  • Drive a cost–conscious discipline through challenge to Heads of Operations and Regional General Managers, keeping an opportunity & risk register of expected future performance for both income & costs
  • A key member of the Regional Leadership Team (RLT), challenging Regional General Managers on financial performance and supporting all members of the regional management team with financial strategy, analysis and insight to support accurate decision making
  • Provide accurate & timely budget, forecast and cashflow inputs. Understand monthly performance for both income & cost to a regional & cluster level, identifying & understanding variances
  • Build and maintain a relationship with Heads of Operationsand other key RLT stakeholders, inputting into strategic decisions
  • Consolidate cashflow projections for all areas of NOI, liaising with finance stakeholders to provide Treasury Manager with regular cashflow commentary and forecasts
  • Collaborate with Group Reporting and Management Accounting teams to deliver appropriate reporting of key activity including monthly accruals, prepayments and adjustments
  • Become the key business partner on Build to Rent, understanding performance and key metrics
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of other areas of the business, and activities of our competitors; keep up to date with trends and developments within own professional area

What we re looking for in you

  • Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to travel within the region for RLT meetings or other regional requirements
  • Evidence of working in a fast paced, high change environment and able to manage multiple demands effectively whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy, quality and attention to detail
  • An ability to develop & influence effective working relationships with senior internal and external business stakeholders
  • Ability to provide challenge & hold to account commercial teams in order to drive performance
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • The ability to understand, empathise with and deliver against customer needs
  • Possesses and promotes a positive attitude, with the ability to adapt swiftly and a willingness to undertake challenging tasks
  • Ability to manage own time effectively, prioritising tasks, multitasking and meeting deadlines
  • Basic understanding of data protection legislation & experience of developing and maintaining a team environment where personal data is kept protected, confidential and secure.
