Financial Controller

Our client in Loughborough is seeking a capable, highly motivated Financial Controller to support their finance team and senior management on full–time interim basis (maternity cover initially circa 8–14–months, potential to go permanent).

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the work of the finance team and related business processes incl. continuous improvements and internal financial policies. You will lead and mentor the finance team, incl. undertaking appraisals, wellbeing and development. You will represent the firm as company secretary and authorised signatory, as well as forming part of the Senior Management team supporting the company and the Managing Director with compliance at all times.

Key duties include:

• Management accounts & reporting,
• Budgeting & forecasting,
• Profit and loss,
• Group reporting,
• Treasury,
• Assisting with audit,
• Acting as Company Tecretary,
• Managing a small finance team.

The Right Person

• Part OR fully–qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent,
• Good leadership qualities,
• Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals,
• Auditing experience (compliance oriented),
• Outstanding interpersonal communication and presentation skills, confident in presenting financial information to senior management,
• A proactive problem–solver, analytical, and results–driven,
• Ability to multi–task and constantly re–evaluate priorities,
• Highly organised effective planning and deadline time keeping skills,
• Strong accounting systems knowledge. Experience with SAP preferred.

Package

• Appointment Type: Interim (minimum 8–months, potential extension to 14–months)
• Rate: GBP45,000 – GBP55,000 per annum + completion bonus (subject to experience)
• Hours: Full–Time
• Holiday 25 Days + Bank Holidays
