A London Market insurer with a global presence is looking for an Assistant Finance Business Partner to join the team following a successful period of growth purpose of this role is to support the Finance Business Partners in business planning and reporting. This includes production and distribution of annual budgets and long-term forecasts to underwriting divisions, as well as providing financial analysis and opinions to support decision-making in the business.
In this role you will be responsible for:
To be considered for this role you should have experience in the Insurance market, ideally within Lloyd's, with previous experience in budgeting and forecasting. The candidate must also be either a qualified accountant or someone studying their accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Support Finance Business Partners in understanding YOA Ultimate and GAAP result against Plan / Prior Year
- Ensure that financial results are communicated as required, and that robust numbers flow to actuarial and financial processes
- Assist Finance Business Partners and underwriters with production of annual business plan and Syndicate Business Forecast, including review and challenge
- Assist with production of reports showing historical and planned performance tailored to varied audiences
- Work directly with underwriters regularly to produce premium forecasts
- Communicate effectively with both information providers and stakeholders to ensure output meets business demands
