The Role:
Taking a senior role within the legal team you will work closely with the General Counsel on strategic matters as well as supporting business as usual.
- Assist the business through a restructure advising on redrafting contract templates
- Providing advice regarding legal and compliance matters across the business
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of technology contracts
- Supporting the sales teams with key contract negotiations with both private and public sector clients
- Providing support to the business in connection with data protection/privacy matters, corporate transactions and dispute management
- Ability in time to step into the GC role
- UK Qualified lawyer with a minimum of seven years* post qualification experience
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, and ability to analyse complex agreements
- A strategic thinker able to look at the bigger picture when advising the business
- Experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising clients on a wide range of technology contracts
- Previous experience of working in-house preferably with a technology business desired
- Ideally knowledge of data protection law
