To lead the mangement and delivery of Project Management services for the Portersfieldregeneration project including managing an multi–disciplinary project team internally, andexternal consultants to deliver the project on time, within budget, creating all ProjectManagement documents as required and up to date including project plans, milestones,interdependencies, project risks and post project evaluation. To work with internal and external partners, internal stakeholders and project WorkstreamLeads and elected members on the co–ordination and delivery of the project To monitor and manage the relationship with external funding organisations, includingapplying for funding as requiredSpecific Accountabilities To act as the Project Manager proactively taking responsibility for the delivery of thePortersfield project leading, project plans, milestones, interdependencies, projectrisks and post project evaluation. To lead the management and co–ordination of the development and delivery of Portersfieldfrom initial Development Brief through to the appointment of the preferred developer anddelivery model. To lead and be responsible for the all project monitoring and reporting internally andexternally, including preparing all project documentation for the Steering Group, the WorkingGroup, and any others as required. To lead and be responsible for the monitoring and reporting of all project finances, andpreparing updates for the Steering Group To lead and be responsible for all preparing all project documents for the Steering Groupincluding the Workstream Updates, Highlight Report, Project Plan, Risks, Issues, etc in linewith project reporting requirements To proactively lead and manage the project with effective project financial management,monitoring and reporting of the capital spend, ensuring stages are delivered on time, tobudget, demonstrate value for money and acheive agreed performance standards. Manage the project team performance to ensure that the project and budget are beingdelivered efficiently Developing and preparing a business case, briefing papers, options and appraisals toacheive desired outputs and outcomes as required Work with partners to identify, and manage project and service risks.Job Description Liaising with statutory undertakings to ensure necessary applications are made to statutoryauthorities for utilities and services connections, determining the need and requirement forstatutary notices ensuring where appropriate they are served correctly and appropriately, asand when required for the project Prepare updates to the Steering Group on the project finances, project expenditure andbudget control, preparing and providing full budget estimates and regular cost reports,reporting variances and reasons verbally and in writing, working with the FinanceWorkstream Lead Chairing and attend any meetings as required. Arranging for the undertaking of full project review and appraisal on completion, reportingcost and qualitative outcomes and outputs, assessing and reporting on variances, lessonslearnt and recommendations for future projects. Update and record all project information, including decisions and change control documents Conducting such other work as may be assigned to them by the Director of Regeneration &Enterprise as requiredKey Accountabilities To be accountable for and promote equality, diversity and community cohesion to meetCouncil, Directorate and Service objectives.
