Following an exciting period of growth, a leading accounting firm in Oxfordshire is looking for an Audit Manager (ACA/ACCA qualified). This role would suit someone with a minimum of 3 year's UK practice Audit experience. Full training and support will be given to further develop your skills and abilities for a long-term career within the practice.

Your new role

You will be responsible for leading a variety of interesting and complex audit assignments across multiple sectors, liaising with managers and partners when required. You will also prepare audit files, undertake audit planning and lead/assist with fieldwork and assist in work allocation and supervise more junior team members on audits, providing support, training and reviewing their work. You will use accounting software to provide accurate reporting for Managers, Directors and clients and to prepare statutory accounts and finalise accounts under the overall supervision of your Line Manager.

You will also prepare corporation tax computations, maintain up to date and relevant technical knowledge of the industry and national economic issues. You will contribute to service and product pricing, including assisting with new client quotes. You'll build productive working relationships within and with clients as required while developing and applying your technical knowledge through on-the-job training.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 1-2 years PQE in practice
  • You will have at least 6 years' UK practice experience
  • Previous experience operating at (Assistant) Manager level
  • Proven experience of producing high quality audits
  • Aptitude to assist with business development activities
  • Strong self-starter with a commercial approach
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and client management skills
