Akton Resourcing are looking for a Head of Corporate Communications & Marketing to join our Public Sector Client based in Bristol on an initial 6–Month Contract.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Strategic Head of Communications to lead our talented marketing and communications and engagement team to help us deliver high impact and imaginative communications to our residents and businesses and stakeholders.

Reporting to the Chief Executive and working with the Metro Mayor, Dan Norris, you will deliver integrated internal and external communications that deliver on the Mayoral priorities and organisation objectives.

You must have experience of leading and shaping a comms team in fast moving environment and working with Ministers/politicians, with a proven track record of leading a team in a complex organisation, delivering results and driving forward the communications strategy.

You will have an excellent grasp of the news agenda, be able to provide strategic advice to the organisation and be passionate about delivering creative and impactful communications for our audiences. You will have experience of working with press and media at a national level.
