Financial Controller

My client is a highly innovative Coventry based SME who operate in a really interesting and topical space.

They are looking for an Interim Financial Controller for 6 months.

Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for running the finance function ensuring that meaningful financial information is produced for use within the wider business. Accuracy is key to this information as you will be reporting to external funders who have very high standards.

You will be responsible for the following amongst other things:

Leading and developing the finance team of three covering management and financial reporting, business partnering, accounts receivable & payable, payroll, etc.
Leading the month end close, ensuring that useful MI is available.
Development of systems, processes and procedures as well as internal controls.
Management of cashflow.
Running the audit process.

You will have the opportunity to work with the wider business which really prides itself on having experts in their field.

Experience of applying for funding would be advantageous for this role as would some form of systems implementation experience.

To be considered for this role you will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and will be looking for a role in a growing SME where the work you do will play an instrumental part.

This role requires someone to be on site 5 days a week.
