The role:

• Identifying and providing solutions for stretch wrapping, palletisation and system Applications.
• The development of own customer prospect base and support the development of stretch film and machinery sales, through a consultative sales approach in the Midlands territory
• Support the delivery of the Load Containment Solution offering through the development of Regional Load Containment Specialists through ongoing joint visits and coaching
• Focus on delivering best value solutions (incorporating cost, sustainability, and performance) for customers whilst considering relevant external factors
• Prepare and propose semi–automated to fully integrated packaging solutions in line with customer requirements and stakeholder expectation
• Deliver the machinery & consumable sales, with a view to securing an extended supply agreement for the consumables between the company and the customer
• Compile and perform customer packaging audits incorporating the Packaging Optimiser.
• Host customer days at the Innovation LAB to showcase Load Containment solutions offering and to identify where value can be added to support ROI
• Responsible for the collation of commercial and service proposals, communicating with relevant Group Regional Directors (GRD) & Regional Business Managers (RBM) to ensure viability and profitability is agreed
• Project manage the implementation of solutions exceeding customer expectations & support local load containment specialists in this regard
• Ensure that the customer SLAs and contractual obligations are achieved and that the solution and consumable packaging is of ongoing commercial benefit to the business
• Develop robust relationships with key stakeholders at customer sites to ensure the value of our service is valued and maintained
• Work in a constructive manner with all relevant personnel within the business to manage complexity, ensuring close and effective communication with the regional sales teams and RBMs
• Communicate effectively to ensure supply partners are fully aligned with project requirements and consistent in direct communication with customers during joint visits and meetings
• Support the category manager with supplier management & selection & forge strong partnerships with suppliers of both machinery & consumables

Person Profile

• Technical knowledge and commercial selling experience of pallet containment, stretch film and stretch wrap machinery is an advantage
• Consideration will also be given to candidates working in other parts of the packaging industry (e.g. corrugated, strapping, plastic film, tapes) who can demonstrate an aptitude for consultative sales
• Excellent commercial, environmental, operational and logistical acumen
• Ability to Project Manage – an important aspect to this role is to organise a project team, set milestones and communicate throughout to all involved
• The ability to influence and present to all levels; networking skills to strengthen business relationships
• Highly organized, self–disciplined, resilient, persistent, analytical and strategic thinker with strong and competent IT/presentation skills (inc. PowerPoint presentations)
