Financial Controller - ideally on short notice for a niche company based in Henley in Arden

Hays are delighted to be working with a family owned business based in Henley in Arden who are very niche in their specialist field.

Your new role
This is a hands on Financial Controller role looking for someone who can work in a busy finance team and take full responsibility for the A-Z of accounts. The company have a number of legal entities and the role will involve preparing all the financial accounts for each one. Key duties are includes below:

* Preparation of annual financial statements
* Review of tax computations
* Submission of VAT returns
* Preparation of information for management meetings including updating financials
* Filing of confirmation statements
* Renewal of insurance policies
* Authorisation of wages
* Upload of pension information
* Posting of monthly wage journal
* Liaison with solicitors on legal matters
* Ad-hoc financial analysis

The company use Sage Line 50 so previous knowledge of Sage is beneficial.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified or QBE hands on SME Financial Controller who is available to start a role by mid January 2023. You will be proficient in Sage or similar and happy to work in the office 5 days per week.

What you'll get in return
A basic salary of circa £60000-70,000 (possibly slightly more) plus 25 days holiday and bank holidays, pension and healthcare.
