Westray Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client based in Cramlington. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a successful company going through a period of growth. As Project Manager you will hold an Electronic or electrical engineering background.

Our client is a leading supplier of systems, services and solutions to industries such as air transport, construction, procurement and logistical supply. They are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their skilled team. The company in question have been in the industry for over 30 years and continue to have a large customer base.

THE ROLE

The position of Projects Manager has a high–level of job responsibility and serves as a mediator between Customers and the businesses Engineering Staff. The Projects Manager will be responsible for planning, monitoring and supervising the execution specific company projects (internal and external).

Duties associated with this position involve preparation of customer quotes through to monitoring associated project budgets, allocating project resources and motivating and managing the Projects team members. Other duties include assistance to the Sales team, issuing progress reports and ensuring project deadlines are met in a timely and efficient fashion

Applicants for this position are generally required to have a number of years experience in a high level Technical or managerial role.

The Projects Manager is responsible for devising, organising, and implementing company delivery projects, both product deliveries and development projects as defined by the organisations QA Procedures. The Projects Manager will work with and manage project teams. These teams may include development, and product project management.

A Projects Manager will perform of the following tasks:

Assisting with and preparing sales quotes
From the quote stage the PM will then be responsible for;

Managing, supervising and planning work execution for Projects and new developments.
Providing resolution for problems
Maintaining Projects schedules
Reporting on project status
Managing project team
Accounting for project cost, time and budget
Mitigating Projects risks

THE PERSON

Project Management (Preferably PRINCE 2 level)
Security Cleared (for UK MOD preferred but not essential)
Understanding of the Project Cycle as defined in within QA Procedures

THE PACKAGE

This is a day shift role paying circa GBP35K per annum. This is a permanent role
