The Role:–
- Co–ordination and direction of supply chain team engaged in buying and distributing materials.
- Developing and fostering strong relationships with vendors and distributors.
- Negotiating complex, technical contracts with suppliers.
- Managing performance of procurement teams.
- Continuous improvement of Global Supply chain.
- Responsible for compliance to Health & Safety.
- Developing and embedding policies and processes.
The Person:–
- CIPS professional qualification or equivalent.
- Understanding of the procurement lifecycle and supply chain best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and the written word.
- Experience in managing high performance teams, setting aggressive targets, motivating staff under tight deadlines, coaching and mentoring a developing team.
- Experience in managing an engineering/technical supply chain.
- Experience in negotiating complex technical contracts and subcontractor.
