Transactional Finance Manager - Growing Services Group - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire - Remote/Office Hybrid

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and rapidly growing private equity backed group within the services sector to recruit for a dynamic, driven, and experienced Transactional Finance Manager based in there Cheltenham, Gloucestershire office. The role will be responsible for all elements of transactional accounting including, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash & Banking. The role requires a leader who can manage and coach the team on the day-to-day transactional activities and support in the transformation of the finance team, processes, and systems. This is an exciting and newly created finance opportunity where you can really add value and support the business as they grow further. This permanent position will offer remote/office hybrid working, flexibility and progression.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve oversight of the following teams and processes - Accounts Payable, Cash & Banking and Accounts Receivable. You will manage/develop a large transactional team, coach/mentor director reports to effectively utilise resources and motivate the wider team into performing to a high standard. You will review, design, and implement efficient and effective process improvements, support the role out of a P2P system and have oversight of short-term working capital cash forecasts including being the main bank contact/approver on banking systems. You will take control of on-going reporting of key performance indicators, take a lead in projects involving the transactional teams and ensure that all processes/controls are documented and implemented across the group. You will use your experience to focus resource onto projects with the highest impact, act as point of escalation for queries and complaints which cannot be resolved by the team and be responsible for handling sensitive financial data. You will be involved in ad-hoc duties to support growth for senior management and the wider group.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this newly created Transactional Finance Manager role, you will need experience within a similar position, experience managing large teams and transactional finance functions. An analytical approach to problem solving with excellent communication skills to give clear/concise guidance at all levels. You will have a track record of achievements related to the job duties required, experience of delivering reporting to provide advice to senior management and have experience with change management for transactional systems, teams, processes, and controls. You will have experience in setting smart objectives and delivering required KPI's to meet business goals, along with being comfortable with various financial systems and have key influencing skills. Experience with Payment reporting and Sage 200 would be advantageous but not essential.

This permanent Transactional Finance Manager role is offering a competitive salary between £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
