Assistant Director of Finance role reports into the Director of Corporate Resources the role is responsible for leading and managing finance team whilst the organisation goes through a period of change

Description

• To prepare statutory accounts in line with current legislation and best practice.
• To lead and manage internal and external audit arrangements and make recommendations to Audit Committee and Board
• Overall responsibility for the planning and delivery of financial services.
• To provide accurate, timely monthly management accounts, identifying the implications of variances against budget and working with managers to identify any necessary remedial actions.
• To ensure that all reconciliations and financial controls are observed and to maintain adequate records of
• To monitor and report on operational issues, taking responsibility for any remedial action needed to meet agreed performance targets.
• To take the lead on or provide financial support to deliver specific projects as agreed.
• Responsibility for recruiting colleagues reporting directly to the Assistant Director, and their ongoing management including regular 1:2:1s, and annual Performance Development Reviews, assessing and meeting their learning and development needs.
• To represent the Company at Board meetings, committee meetings as required.
• To prepare and present information to the Board, committees and other relevant bodies.

• Experience within housing sector

Job Offer

Day rate – GBP400 – GBP500 a day
