My client is a leading Defence company and operates across the globe, it has a big presence in UK and due to growth, they are looking for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to oversee their engineering projects and ensure they are a success. My client mainly operates in Aerospace/Security sector and has countless opportunities to develop their employees internally and supports personal development.

The role is required to deliver projects throughout the whole lifecycle and ensure that they are meeting the customers' requirements. You will look at time, budget, quality, risk and be communicative with my client's customer throughout the whole process.

Responsibilities – Engineering Project Manager

• Develop and execute a project plan/strategy
• Conduct risk management activities
• Ensure budgets and schedules are fit for purpose for the customer
• Develop an engineering plan which describes all aspects of engineering work included in the project
• Focus on delivering on design for manufactures, test and reliability and maintainability
• Lead in making technical decisions for the project
• Manage the team on their performance
• Develop the team with coaching and mentoring
• Travel to customers sites (occasional)

Key Skills/Experience – Engineering Project Manager

• Leadership experience in an engineering role
• Strong understanding of Electronic systems
• Knowledge of project management tools and techniques used to ensure a successful project
• Able to build maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Able to act under pressure
• Good track record of managing costs against allocated budget
• Experience of performing risking management activities and techniques
• Degree or HNC or equivalent qualified in an engineering discipline
