Finance Business Partner

An exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join Jewson in Coventry. This will be part of our Commercial Finance team which is at the most commercial end of the finance spectrum within Jewson. This purpose of the role will be to partner with the Category Director providing proactive finance decision support to drive strategic and tactical growth of the categories. This will mostly suit a part–qualified finance candidate.

Experience needed:

• Experience of working in a commercial finance role or in a commercial function so could be procurement or supply chain (we are open).
• A strong understanding and awareness of commercial aspects.
• Highly numerate with excellent analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and the ability to influence and manage across a matrix organisation.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple simultaneous priorities

Responsibilities:

• Partner with Category Director; challenge and support on financial performance of category and identify tactical areas of growth.
• Modelling supplier deal options, including scenario testing with recommendations
• Looking at margin performance of categories to understand what the key drivers are.
• Forecasting the year end rebate position including identifying rebate opportunities and risk.
• Track and create net margin reports.
