We are currently working in partnership with a huge international engineering leader, who offers a wide range of engineering products and services to a multitude or industries. They are now looking to recruit an addition Business Development Manager due to the continued growth and success of their Seals and Gaskets division.

The Role

  • Have a huge focus on new customer identification and development of relationships targeting OEM customers.
  • Target markets may include semiconductor, CPI, Transportation, Large Diesel, API / life–science, Upstream Oil & Gas, potable water, to name a few
  • Help support new product introductions
  • Develop an in–depth knowledge of the product range specifically its features and benefits and become highly knowledgeable in the application of these product technologies to real world situations.
  • Visit customers to understand their requirements and promote the product range
  • Provide professionally presented commercial and technical proposals to the customer
  • Help to generate quotes
  • Prepare and deliver management information in the form of a monthly update to a rolling business plan, within required deadlines: to include sales history and forecasts, with prose highlighting key customer developments.

The Person

  • Experience with seals, gaskets and/or polymers is essential
  • Have a proven sales track record in this field
  • Ideally have experience selling in either semiconductor, CPI, Transportation, Large Diesel, API / life–science, Upstream Oil & Gas, potable water industries
  • Have to have experience with a high end sell as this is a niche technical sell
  • Ideally degree qualified but will consider time–served applicants
