Business Development Manager, Ferndown (hybrid working), 55,000 plus annual bonus
Role purpose
As Business Development Manager you will report into the MD and form part of the senior leadership team, for this specialist engineering manufacturer. As an integral part of the business you will be responsible for managing existing customer accounts as well developing new sales opportunities through identifying and developing prospective customers.
As Business Development Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining meaningful customer relationships
- Leading the sales team and working cross functionally with the wider business to define and create the R&D and NPI strategy
- Contribution to the annual budget preparation ensuring that the Commercial team adhere to company goals and targets
- The creation and implementation of a sales plan, including the searching and developing of sales and marketing opportunities
- Preparation and delivery of monthly sales performance and forecasts
- The promotion of a customer focus culture enabling positive commercial outcomes
- Keeping on top of product development, pricing structures and innovations within the marketplace
As Business Development Manager you will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Technical discipline
- Demonstrable experience within sales / account management selling technical solutions, preferably within the electronics industry
- A structured method to managing pipeline through a sales process
- A strategic approach to sales planning both in domestic and export markets
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Knowledge of ERP systems
