My West Midlands based public sector client is looking for 2 interim category managers to join their growing team for an initial period of 6 months. Working on a diverse portfolio of spend, the roles will be responsible for providing professional procurement advice whilst also managing procurement projects, ensuring that activity is in line with public procurement regulations whilst delivering savings and value for money.
The roles require experienced procurement professionals who have worked within a public sector environment before and who are able to advise on the most appropriate procurement route whilst also reviewing framework options as well as reviewing existing contracts.
In addition to experience of public procurement regulations, you will need to be experienced in managing your own workload and dealing with suppliers and stakeholders.
The roles are for 6 months, will pay between 275 and 375 a day and require 1 day a week in the office as a minimum.
