Director of Development

I am delighted to be working with one of the country's leading independent day schools for girls, located on a six–acre site in West London. The School's facilities are excellent, making it an exciting place to learn and work. The students receive unrivalled academic and pastoral support and outstanding examination results are achieved.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Director of Development to join the team. The postholder will work closely with the Head and Bursar to develop and implement a sustainable development strategy to support the school's wider vision in both short and long–term targets. The Director of Development will ensure that the objectives and targets identified in the strategy, including financial targets, are achieved on time and to budget and will also manage the annual departmental budget.

Location: Hammersmith, West London

Salary: GBP80K – GBP90K per annum plus benefits

Contract: Permanent

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of securing major gifts, which may or may not include the Education sector. You will need confidence in networking, and the ability to represent Development and Alumnae Relations internally and the school externally. Highly effective written and verbal communication skills are essential, alongside experience of working with Raiser's Edge or a similar database. Empathy with the principles, ethos, aims and aspirations of independent schools and a belief in the need to widen access is essential for this position.
