Head of IT

Currently working with a large scale professional services company based in Birmingham City Centre.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Director for Technical Delivery and Information Security, you will be responsible for overseeing around 60 individuals such as Solution Developers, Application Analysts, and Associate Directors and much more – as well as undertaking day to day tasks such as the following:

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, support existing technical systems to support the delivery of the required service levels.
• Lead a large team of technical specialists as well as being in control of recruiting for new talent.
• Responsible for the technical implementation and operation of the IT systems to deliver to timescales and the defined operational service levels.
• Plans system development and operation.
• Manage IT policies.
• Define the system management standards expected and put in place monitoring activities to ensure compliance with those standards.
• Responsible for the disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Essential Skills:

• Degree or equivalent in a technical subject.
• Relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent in technology delivery.
• Experience leading large technical teams (ideally Agile methods)
• Experience in maintaining security accreditations.
• Experience in information management and information security principles.
• Project management experience.
• Experience in presenting business cases for system investment.
• Experience introducing innovation and new processes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual (Ideally with a Infrastructure and Applications, cyber security background) to join a fast paced team at a period of anticipated growth and change.

You may be required to visit client sites as well as work a shift pattern as part of duty management and on–call arrangements of the senior team (further information can be given)
