Associate Director of Corporate Governance

Hi all, I'm currently recruiting for a Senior Associate Director of Corporate Governance to assist on a project in the NHS.

Hours – 37.5
Location – East Sussex

To ensure that the Trust has sound, integrated corporate governance policies, procedures and structures to comply with all form of regulatory requirements
To lead the relevant governance teams (shown within Department Structure) and to liaise with the clinical governance teams and Chief Nurse/Chief Medical officer as necessary/required
To oversee the development and maintenance of the Board Assurance Framework and corporate risk register
To provide expert and independent advice, guidance and support to the CEO, Chair and the Board on all aspects of statutory regulation, compliance, corporate governance and effective business conduct for the organisation, ensuring the highest standards of probity and according to statutory and legislative requirements
To oversee and ensure appropriate support to the Chair, CEO & Board
To review and evaluate all new regulatory developments and share with the Board the potential impact upon the Trust
To lead on the design, effective operation and provision of assurance as to corporate governance controls supporting the Board
To have a particular role in ensuring the Board and its committees are assured about the effective operation of controls which mitigate risks of failure to achieve strategic objectives
To raise /address effectively, sensitively and appropriately concerns, conflicts or divergence relating to corporate governance and practice
To work autonomously and be the main point of contact with regulators, including the CQC
