Cardiff University is seeking to appoint a Head of Building Services to play an important leadership role resulting in the delivery of consistently excellent estates engineering provision at the University.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Estates (Operations), this role takes responsibility for the operation, compliance and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical engineering services across the University estate, which encompasses a diverse range of buildings and facilities including teaching and research space, healthcare facilities, workspace, enterprise space, social and hospitality space, residential accommodation, recreational and sports facilities and the public realm. You will provide professional guidance and advice to the University on the medium and longer–term direction, strategy, policies and objectives for engineering infrastructure, and services, and advise and liaise with the Carbon Programme team on the delivery of energy related matters.
We are seeking an exceptional candidate with proven experience of leading engineering services across a large–scale, diverse and complex portfolio, with a track record of leading transformation programmes resulting in demonstratable advancement in operational estates and infrastructure management. To be a success in the role we are seeking an individual with outstanding stakeholder engagement and team leadership skills, and who is results focused and customer–centric in approach.
