Head of Engineering

The UK arm of a global engineering business is looking for a Chief Engineer / Head of Engineering. The job description is still under creation but the business is looking for somebody who has managed teams of 80+ within the aerospace or defence sector with a particular focus on electronics, software and systems.

Ideally you'd be South West based, although other locations will be considered. There will be some level of home working available but presence at one of the company's offices and customer site will also be expected.

The role itself will be a varied one but some key responsibilities will include the management of staff, delivery of work packages, preparation of bids, financial accountability for the business area and full lifecycle project management.
