Micheldever have an exciting opportunity for a proactive HR Partner to help deliver a high level of support, advice and guidance to managers; to improve business performance and deliver people plans. You will be the internal point of contact to managers in HR matters and support Managers across all HR activities including Employee Relations covering the full range of issues including performance management, absence management, capability, disciplinary and grievance cases.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Partner and coach managers on all aspects of leading their people and the people plan.
  • Ensure all managers have the relevant level of training, coaching and support to manage their people.
  • Using Employee Relations data to highlight trends and providing solutions.
  • Supporting managers in ER cases
  • Actively managing colleague retention and absence
  • Support with change initiatives relating to employee relations ensuring that they are implemented in accordance with best practise.
  • Ensure there is a consistent and excellent onboarding experience for colleagues and new employees.
  • Support with delivering the people plan and HR calendar activities.
  • Ensuring alignment with HR processes and GDPR compliance.
  • Ensure contractual compliance within all documentation including policies, procedures and employment contracts
  • Support the performance review, annual pay review and bonus processes
  • Work closing with recruitment to support the attraction, recruitment and selection for key roles across our business areas.
  • Be the trusted adviser on all people issues
  • Experience in Management Information (MI) reporting
  • Manage regional agendas

About You

  • CIPD qualified (ideally to level 5)
  • A sound up to date knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Experience with and comfortable working in a fast–paced environment with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential with the ability to build effective working relationships, influencing, guiding, supporting and coaching adding value to our business.
  • Experience of managing an ER case workload
  • Experience of working in the Retail sector would be advantageous
  • Operationally focused with excellent communication skills
  • Able to constructively challenge, support, guide and influence
  • Responds positively to a high–pressure environment and able to adapt to changes quickly
  • Resilient and able to cope with competing priorities and work demands
  • Full UK driving licence is required

This role will require travel across the North England and Scotland with occasional visit to our head office near Winchester.
