Marks Sattin Executive Search is seeking an entrepreneurial Chief Financial Officer to join a highly profitable PE-backed People Based business based in North West England. The business is focussed on a buy and build strategy across the UK, and currently goal is to double the EBITDA through integration of successful acquisitions, and preparation for an eventual exit.

Partnering with a reputable Private Equity house, this is great opportunity for a highly motivated and passionate CFO to deliver organic growth while executing the forefront of commercialisation of the business to help drive on M&A and integration and professionalising the finance and IT functions. The CFO will be a senior member of the executive management team and a member of the Board, set the strategic direction of the business, and provide financial analysis and insights to define KPIs, financial planning and forecasting, and strategic decision making.

As finance number one, you will be responsible in identifying target customers and profitability of services offered. Whilst improving the Finance function there will be major involvement with all areas of the organisation and will support the CEO as the day to day eyes and ears of the business. Excellent communication, presentation and team management skills are essential, as you will provide career growth opportunities for the staff, mentoring and coaching.

The ideal candidate:
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA), preferably chartered.
  • Extensive experience in working as an autonomous Finance Director or Chief Financial Officer in a PE/VC Backed businesses, ideally with a background in Outsourcing, Managed Services, Professional Services and or Consultancy sector.
  • A track record of implementing and improving IT systems, accounting processes and management information and financial reporting is a must.
  • Experience of acquisitions and integrations and transformation/change programmes.
  • Proven ability to work at pace and drive change.
  • A high level of motivation, a "can do" attitude and a willingness to be involved at all levels.
