Richmond Borough Mind is a vibrant local charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health problems and their carers for over 60 years. We are looking for a confident and friendly self–starter, who takes initiative to get things done. Enthusiastic, creative and approachable, you will demonstrate strong administrative and IT skills alongside excellent oral and written communication. You will need to be a highly organised multi–tasker with the ability to juggle busy and conflicting priorities. This is a varied role, providing effective support to colleagues, the management team and trustees. While this is primarily an internal–facing role, you may be the first point of contact for external callers and should have an empathetic nature and genuine interest in mental health. IT knowledge particularly MS Office, would be helpful along with experience of coordinating office functions including recruitment, basic HR processes, Health and Safety, GDPR and database usage. The ideal candidate will have the ability to manage administrative volunteers and temporary staff for multiple projects. In providing facilities support you will coordinate the purchase and management of equipment and supplies and ensure all IT hardware and software is up to date. Knowledge of charity governance administration will be an advantage in supporting the regular trustee board and committee meetings. This person will have the ability to take real ownership of this role and will be excited by the challenge of providing an inspiring and facilitative working environment.
