Description

In conjunction with the Senior Legal Counsel, the purpose of this role from a UK perspective is to:

* support the UK business in a broad range of legal areas either in a lead role or in a support role to the Senior Legal Counsel
* provide accurate and timely legal advice on a variety of commercial issues - ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business;
* draft, review and negotiate a range of contracts and other legal documents
* contract execution and repository management;
* manage company secretarial compliance including annual filings, preparation of board minutes and shareholder resolutions
* maintain GDPR data processing logs and advise on matters relating to data privacy
* communication with external counsel and other advisors;
* Staying up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the UK business.

The purpose of this role from a Group perspective is to:
* support the Group legal team on joint initiatives and projects
* support on areas of cross border legal work either in a lead role or in a support role to the Senior Legal Counsel

Profile

* A minimum of 1-4 years' PQE as a commercial lawyer
* Prior in-house experience is preferred but not required.
* Sound understanding and knowledge of commercial and corporate law.
* Experience in any of the following areas is desirable: international commercial work, data privacy, competition law, consumer protection law and marketing regulations
* Excellent communication skills and strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across the business.
* The ability to communicate complex legal issues in a way colleagues understand.
* Confidence to work autonomously
* Strength in another European language, particularly French, would be an advantage but is not required

Job Offer

Salary up to £67500 FTE

10% bonus

Able to offer a part time working week of either 3 or 4 days a week.
