Senior Programme Manager Crewe, UK GBP75,000PA + Package / GBP500 per day The Company Highfield Professional Solutions are proud to be representing an independent rail contract who specialise in Signalling, E&P and Track. You will be playing an integral part in building a new team that will be delivering and winning new work across the UK. The Position Our client is looking for a Programme Manager to join their already successful team to work closely with the leadership team. The main responsibility for this role is to enable successful delivery of projects through the effective co–ordination of on–site resources. Role and Responsibilities Delivery of our clients Rail's projects and contracts portfolio, which will include accountability for the delivery, quality, safety and commercial performance of all projects or contracts. The plant, labour and material elements required to deliver the projects or contracts. The overall planning, resourcing and execution of all scope as defined within the project or contract, which will include for all activity phases such as survey, design, installation, testing and commissioning all in accordance with company procedures, railway standards, procedures and legislation The production of the monthly project reports to the Operations Director and Commercial Director. Leading and managing the project team consisting of project managers, assistant project managers, project administrators and programme/schedule planners. Ensuring all projects are closed out in particularly health and safety documentation and final accounts are agreed in accordance with the contract and a timely manner. Appointing and overseeing suitably competent project managers (PM) who act as the contract leaders to then lead the day to day project/ contract delivery. The PM provides day to day direction and leads the project team of key roles such as construction manager, QS/commercial manager, planner, project engineers, design manager and TIC roles and as allocated for the delivery of the project. Experience and Skills Required Knowledge and proficient skills using MS Project People and Leadership skills which demonstrate strong, two–way, trusting, working relationships with peers and team members, focused on achieving business goals and team members motivated and challenged to work towards their full potential. Demonstrated experience in leading, with an ability to oversee multiple complex projects Proven management experience at senior level within rail and/or multidiscipline service delivery organisation. Ability to prioritise and plan effectively and apply judgement and experience to make effective and timely decisions. Astute contractual and commercial awareness and demonstrable business acumen. Knowledge and experience of NEC Contracts. Proactive and supportive a self–starter Essential skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Xcel.
