What You'll Do
As an Expert Project Leader/Associate Director in Pricing, you will play a key role in the development of our Pricing expertise (i.e., shelf pricing optimization, promotions, markdowns etc.) as well as support our growth targets for this topic. You will advise clients on executive level supporting them to improve or transform their pricing strategy and achieve excellence in what they do, as we work to deliver lasting impact in a highly dynamic environment.
Additionally, you will lead BCG project teams enabling them to find the right approach, motivate and support them to deliver on time and to achieve long-term impact for our clients. You will also drive the majority of the project related client interactions ensuring a constructive collaboration with our clients.
Your scope will cover the whole pricing value chain across Retail, incl. Shelf pricing, promotions and/or markdowns:
•Pricing Strategy: Segmenting to align with business goals, competitive advantage and industry structure •Pricing Model: Leveraging pricing bases, packaging, and consumption models; developing analytical tools; building on consumer research and patterns •Price Setting: Defining price structure; combining the customer value, economic lenses; aligning to different segments and elasticities •Pricing Transformation: Redesigning processes; developing trainings and participating in implementation •Pricing Capabilities: Developing BCG's Pricing Enablement Center tools, building up of pricing partner ecosystems and position BCG proprietary pricing tools within our customers.
What will be expected of you in this role is to:
•Play an advisory role on projects helping either to establish BCG's credibility or ramp the team up at the start of a particular piece of work or provide regular support and guidance throughout the project •Build and spread Pricing expertise within BCG and serving as a Pricing hub for the firm to develop new techniques and/or capture new ideas as well as casework experience •Build data science methodologies and solutions at scale that deliver transformational value •Contribute to BCG's practice area publications and to BCG's Pricing approach and toolkits, benchmarks, templates, processes as well as position papers, studies, and insights from case experience. •Execute, or provide expertise and support in Pricing projects for our key clients •Collaborate, provide mentorship and support to consultants ensuring their continuous development

What You'll Bring (Experience & Qualifications)
Candidate Qualifications
•At least 6 - 8 years of industry and/or consulting experience with a focus on pricing
•Strong experience of working with large volume of structured and unstructured data and leveraging it to build AI/ML solutions through end-to-end automated data pipelines
•Experience in designing and scaling smart pricing/promo/markdowns solutions that leverage ML/AI
•Demonstrated expertise in Pricing and quantitative methodologies across retail and consumer industries.
•Graduate degree focused on data analytics, or graduate of a leading business school a plus
