Job RequirementsTourism and Trade Business Development Manager Are you experienced in Retail or F&B and looking to Grow with Gatwick.? The commercial function is responsible for driving income from passengers, airlines and on–airport partners. What will you do? The Tourism and Trade Business Development Manager's primary goal is to maintain and develop relationships with business/leisure sales teams of our airline partners, tour operators, travel agents, and wider tourism organizations and stakeholders, to grow passenger numbers at Gatwick. As Tourism and Trade Business Development Manager you will be responsible for finding solutions and partners that deliver new income streams and increase market share of corporate travellers. What is the role? Support teams with their sales missions and organize airport tours as necessary. Create, maintain and grow relationships with Online Travel Agents (OTAs), Consortiums and Consolidators to ensure airline partners are actively being promoted to the travel trade. Establish and develop relationships with international DMOs in our key markets. Develop relationships with tour operators selling packages to London to support load factor uplift. Create and facilitate B2B marketing campaigns and trade/corporate events with/for airline partners focusing on new route promotion, increasing load factor and general brand awareness of Gatwick. Participate in trade shows and other industry events Create, maintain and grow relationships with key corporates, SME's and TMC's within London and the South East through a field sales visit programme, to pro–actively seek and introduce new corporates and SME's to Gatwick Airport Do you have what we're looking for? Highly competent salesperson coupled with customer focus Experience of the tourism industry in a DMO, tour operator, travel agent, airline or hotel. Excellent understanding of the tourism and aviation industries Established relationships across the tourism industry in particular with tourism boards, tour operators. travel agents and tourism organizations Marketing experience– designing and implementing B2B and B2C campaigns, in a highly commercial environment Strong background in sales and relationship management, ideally across cultures Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging at all levels, with the ability to influence at all levels Excellent public speaker Resilient and driven to exceed targets, creatively solving problems Passionate about travel and aviation with an appetite to travel extensively and globally About working here Our people tell us that working here is something special.
